The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 is set to deliver another thrilling season of T20 cricket, featuring top international and domestic talent. Scheduled from February 14 to March 15, 2025, the tournament will witness intense battles at Kotambi Stadium (Vadodara), M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru), and Brabourne Stadium (Mumbai).
The WPL 2025 auction saw five teams securing 19 players for a total of ₹9.05 crore. Gujarat Giants made the biggest splash by signing Simran Shaikh for ₹1.90 crore and Deandra Dottin for ₹1.70 crore. Mumbai Indians acquired 16-year-old G Kamalini for ₹1.60 crore after her standout performance in the Women’s U19 Asia Cup. Bengaluru strengthened its squad with Prema Rawat (₹1.20 crore), while Delhi picked up Nandini Kashyap and Scotland’s Sarah Bryce. UP Warriorz added Australian spinner Alana King to their ranks. Surprisingly, former Gujarat captain Sneh Rana went unsold.
