Australia’s domestic league known as The Big Bash League is back with its thrilling T20 format connecting all cricket enthusiasts and cricket stars around the globe.
The Big Bash League was founded in 2011 by Australia Cricket consisting of a total of eight teams from six different cities Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Sydney, and Melbourne. The Big Bash League starts in December and runs until February.
The First edition of Big Bash League 2011-12 replaced the existing KFC T20 Big Bash, won by Sydney Sixers against Perth Scorchers by 7 wickets booking their name as the first champions in the history of Big Bash League.
The Perth Scorchers were able to secure their spot as the latest champions in the 12th edition of the Big Bash League which was held against their competitor Brisbane Heat in 2022-23. Perth Scorchers hold the league record by winning four times which is followed by Sydney Sixers with 3 records.
The Big Bash League attracts audiences and players beyond the boundaries of Australia and is one of the most followed cricket leagues in the world.
