The Lanka Premier League 2024 will start on July 1 and run till July 21 in Sri Lanka. Organised by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), as many as five teams will compete in a total of 24 matches in the fifth edition of the Lanka Premier League.
B-Love Kandy, Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Marvels and Jaffna Kings are the five teams that will feature in Lanka Premier League 2024.
As per the Lanka Premier League 2024 schedule, each team will play the other side twice in a double round-robin format. The top four teams in the standings after all the league matches will qualify for the LPL 2024 knockouts.
The top two teams in the standings will clash in Qualifier 1, while the third-placed and fourth-placed teams will lock horns in the Eliminator.
The winner of the Eliminator will later face the loser of Qualifier 1 for a place in the LPL 2024 final.
Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Dambulla’s Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium and the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo are the three venues that will host all LPL 2024 matches’-love Kandy are the defending champions of the Lanka Premier League after beating Dambulla Aura (now Dambulla Sixers) by five wickets in the 2023 final in Colombo Meanwhile, Jaffna Kings are the most successful team in the tournament’s history with three titles.
