The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Playoffs is scheduled to take place at the back end of May. Like previous editions, the top four will progress to the playoffs and will play respective fixtures based on where they finish in the IPL 2024 points table. Whereas KKR had already made their spot in qualifier and they are the first team to qualify for plays off in this tournament.
Meanwhile, the likes of Chennai Super Kings with 14 points from 13 matches and Sunrisers Hyderabad with 14 points from 12 matches currently occupy the third and fourth spots respectively, but are not Assured of a spot yet. So, the two spots could still be up for grabs with Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans all mathematically still alive in the playoff race.
Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings, however, are completely out of contention from reaching the playoffs as they currently occupy the bottom two spots.
