Argentina vs. Saudi Arabia

Lionel Messi fans, the moment you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. It was worth watching the match. The game begins with the ball in the center line and the kick which relieved all the Argentinian fans. The kick-off was adding an extra thrill to the match with every passing second. When Lionel Messi touched the ball and dribbled, the craze was hitting a different level. Both teams’ fans were yelling loudly so that their team could register its victory, after all, it was the world cup game.

First Half

The first half is the one that boosts the motivation among the player’s spirit as we know that first impressions are lasting impressions in football, although we tend to think that the second half is the decisive moment. Messi scoring the penalty was the best feeling for all the Argentinian fans. The game between Argentina vs. Saudi Arabia was really intense from the first half. Ball possession was 69% percent to Argentina and 31% percent to Saudi Arabia in the beginning half. Argentina’s key player was successful to score a goal giving the lead of 1-0. 

Second Half

As of the record with the unbeaten streak, Argentina has been dominating the match since the first half. The match seemed to be on the side of Argentina. However, the game takes a different mode and turns in the second half. The goal of Saleh Alshehri at 48 minutes adds different momentum to the game making the score 1 each on both sides. The game was different then and Saudi Arabia with a comeback generated a different feeling at 53 Minutes with a goal of Salim Aldwasri to get the lead against Argentina. Even with all those efforts and tries, Argentina failed to score again and the game ended with a score of 2-1, and the unbeaten streak since 2019 was broken in the land of Qatar.


The match seems very normal at the beginning but with minutes passing some foul play was seen and of which some of the players even get cards. The Argentinian team had 7 fouls whereas the Saudi Arabian playing rough from the beginning had 21 Fouls having 6 yellow cards.


Saudi Arabia has had one offside whereas the Argentinian side had unfortunately 10 off sides throughout the game.
